There’s a fierce and unnecessary debate sweeping through the bored at work fingertips of the internet. Yes, you guessed it. White parents are asking themselves can my kid dress up as Black Panther for Halloween. Take a second to let that sink in. The question: Can a child dress up as a make believe comic book super hero on HALLOWEEN. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The reason why this question comes off as perplexing and yet asinine is because we have yet to discover the new ones in our social and political debates around racism and cultural appropriation.
It’s borderline obtuse, yet firmly absurd.
I cannot stress enough that this is a comic book superhero in the Land of Make Believe no different than Superman, Batman, Peter Pan and Man-man. Okay I made that last one up but that’s not the point.
